Helmed by Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky, Restaurant Petrus has been honoured with one Michelin star for the 7th year in a row. Chef Gordon Leung, the Corporate Chinese Chef (Hong Kong) of Shangri-La Group, is a top Cantonese culinary master with over 40 years of experience. He has previously held the position of Executive Chinese Chef at various prestigious Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong.

Chef Leung began his culinary training in Cantonese cuisine at the age of 17 and later spent five years working in Germany, where he absorbed new Western culinary concepts. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he joined the renowned Cantonese restaurant, Fook Lam Moon, in 1995, where he earned his first Michelin star. During his 21 years at Fook Lam Moon, the restaurant achieved the honour of being a Michelin Two-Star establishment. After that, Chef Leung took on the role of Executive Chef at the Chinese restaurant, Spring Moon at The Peninsula Hong Kong. He continued his journey of Michelin accolades, leading the restaurant to receive its first Michelin star in 2017.
