The rich culinary heritage of Grenada will take centre stage at this year's Grenada Chocolate Fest, set to take place from May 22-27, 2024. This immersive festival invites visitors to embark on a flavourful journey through Grenada's finest chocolate, rum, and spices, complemented with a sprinkling of chocolate themed wellness and artistic experiences.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to visit local chocolate producers and experience the bean-to-bar journey first-hand. Highlights include a tour of the Belmont Cocoa Estate, where guests will see how cocoa is grown and transformed into chocolate.  A visit to Jouvay Chocolate Factory features a choco-garden tour while a delicious lunch will be served up at the Diamond Estate.

Throughout the festival, visitors will be able to enjoy daily tastings of chocolate, rum, and spices, alongside interactive sessions on cooking with cocoa and chocolate-making workshops.

Among the festival's key highlights:

- A foodie tour introducing visitors to Grenada's finest cocoa, chocolate, and spices.

- An outdoor cooking experience with acclaimed local vegan chef, Joachim Joseph.

- A five-course chocolate-themed dinner, where each dish is infused with rich cocoa flavours.

- A chocolate and rum pairing event and a Caribbean chocolate tasting experience.

- Hands-on workshops, including bonbon making and crafting traditional cocoa balls for Grenadian cocoa tea.

The wellness aspect of the festival shines through a Cocoa & Spice Wellness Tour at Mount Parnassus Plantation, outdoor meditation and a rejuvenating spa experience at Mount Carmel Waterfall. Attendees can also learn about the benefits of cocoa butter and experience its benefits with a guided self-massage session at the Sankalpa open-air yoga studio.

Creativity should flow at the Cocoa-Themed Sip & Paint experience, where spice-infused cocktails will set the mood for artistic expression.

Additionally, local artisans and craftspeople will showcase cocoa-inspired works at the Chocolate Bazaar & Family Day.

The True Blue Bay Boutique Resort is a great base for travellers wishing to experience the Grenada Chocolate Fest.  Many events including the Caribbean chocolate tasting, the 5 course chocolate dinner, bonbon making, cocoa butter self-massage and the Chocolate Bazaar and Family day are held at the resort.
