Our line-up of seminars is as follows:

THE GREAT BARRIER REEF EXPLAINED - FROM NORTH TO SOUTH

Stretching for 1429 miles over an area of approximately 133,000 square miles, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world. Along its vast length, expect a wide array of diving experiences, from pelagic action and exciting drift dives in the remote Coral Sea Reefs, encounters with minke whales and giant potato cod on the Ribbon Reefs in the far north, to close encounters with nesting turtles on Heron Island and mating mantas on Lady Elliot Island in the far south. Diveplanit's GBR experts will show you where to go, when to go, what you'll see and how to get there.

AUSTRALIA'S MOST UNIQUE MARINE ENCOUNTERS

Australia boasts many truly unique marine encounters. Only down under can you: swim with dwarf minke whales on the Great Barrier Reef, watch manta trains on Lady Elliot Island, swim with whale sharks on Ningaloo Reef. In Sydney, we'll show you where to find weedy sea dragons, and the hidden macro wonders of Sydney Harbour. In South Australia, go in search of leafy sea dragons - creatures found nowhere else in the world, great white sharks at the Neptune Islands, and of course, there's the enormous orgy of over 200,000 giant cuttlefish in Whyalla.

REEF HEALTH UPDATE - CITIZEN SCIENCE OPPORTUNITIES

This year the world's coral reefs suffered a widespread mass bleaching event. In this presentation we'll provide a reef health update for the Great Barrier Reef and demonstrate how citizen science is helping to survey this vast reef system - and how you can help. Whether that's visiting the GBR to see for yourself and record your findings, or sitting at home a thousand miles away, helping to analyse the thousands of images uploaded by divers, snorkelers and tour operators every day to a global database.
